Frequently Asked Questions
Are you planning to increase your menu options?
We want to offer more variety as we grow and we hope to do that by working with other local suppliers to round out the menu. There are so many fantastic local plant-based food-makers in our region and we would love to share their products with you.
When will you expand to other parts of the lower mainland?
We hope to very soon, as in September 2021. But it's dependent on demand and our own capabilities to scale. We encourage you to fill out this form to express your interest in delivering to your neighbourhood.

Why not simply deliver to schools instead of home delivery?
As a new business, we wanted to ensure we put the product in parents' hands. You deserve to see what you're paying for, rather than relying on your child to report back whether it was healthy, tasty, fresh, etc.
But as we grow, we will look at ways to save on distribution costs and that could mean working closer with schools.
Have you considered other packaging options like compostable or reusable?
Yes we have and we're going to continue to go down these paths to find the best solution. We don't want to create any more waste than we need to, so this is a challenge that needs ongoing consideration. You can read more about our approach to packaging here.
Who helped with the menu design and who makes the food?
We have been very fortunate to work with talented and accomplished organizations in the food industry.
Elaine Cheng, business consultant and culinary nutritionist, provided food business coaching, menu development and recipe refinement.
Just Catering, a non-profit catering organization that provides opportunities for folks who face barriers to traditional employment, has handled meal-testing and will produce elemeno's first meals to customers.
